(Hartford, CT) - On August 18, 2008, VLO Group New England’s President and CEO, Cherie Griffith-Dunn, was honored as one of the “40 under Forty” by the Hartford Business Journal. According to Peter Mantius, Editor of the Hartford Business Journal, the 2008 class of 40 under Forty winners include “people who are leaving their competition in the dust. These are the folks who have already demonstrated that they're good at what they do, and that they have the talents and skills to make a difference in our business and social communities. They are people who were nominated by colleagues and friends, and who eventually were chosen with the help of an independent panel of business leaders who looked at their accomplishments and voted them worthy of this honor."
Peter Mantius further explains that “for 12 years now, the Hartford Business Journal has looked at the region’s up-and-upcoming executives.
